TheBoiledEgg started really slow, making too many UE's on FH.
got back ahead and had chances for 4-2 but messed up then had chances to lead 5-4 on serve but made a mess of things
refocused and made less errors on FH on set 2/3 and played pretty good after.

ys Eggy, it looks like you watched it.. What is your general impression of where Zhenya is with his game?

Well, now it is going ot be difficult.. Zhenya has never been a good peeler. But I hope that it's a couscous he'll have ot deal with rather than potato skins..

TheBoiledEgg Zhenya won 4-6 6-1 6-1

ys Poor Zhenya..

Just watched some pieces of his match.. Not that he didn't try.. He was swearing badly after every point he lost. He was surely very disappointed about how it went and looked totally lost out there..

bubble It seems like the curse of the top seeds is working round....

I really can't believe Yevgeny could play as badly as he has played today in a Grandslam....
He is going to regret this after looking at who's left in his draw today....

TheBoiledEgg He looked lost out there, nothing worked, just a allround terrible performance.

Kim played good and was super fast, but Zhenya didn't help himself.

tenn_ace I guess, this loss is the beginning of the end. I wouldn't be suprised if this season becomes the last one.

fresh2flash Well, with the first 5 out Safin gets the real chance of winning the tournament, does he?
I rather not guess, we`ll see.

fresh2flash "I guess that was one of those days... I felt so flat I
couldn't play three consecutive shots," the Russian said
"I don't remember when I played that terrible in a grand
slam ever. But I have to take it and that's that."

ys I just can't believe this.

bubble Very depressing loss to Grosjean. ..
Right now, Hewitt is crushing Ferrero, looks like Yevgeny can retain his improved #4 position in the race rankings.

Have a good break, Zhenya...
