Alona beat Siska 6-3 1-6 6-3 today, she's through to the MD!

She'll face WC Ani Vangelova (23 yo, Top 700) in R1... Not a bad draw but she'll face to play better than in her previous matches of she wants to win Davayyy!

They lost 1 & 4 "only" to (1)Eryadin/Ivakhnenko (who won the title today) - but yeah, still got thrashed

Glad to see she didn't flop in Q1 this time though

She'll face 5th seed Eva Siska (WTA 1141, CHR 1068) in Q2 tomorrow, davayyy!

Re: Alona Bondarenko Cheering Thread

Oh, Alona is also playing in doubles this time, which I hadn't noticed before. She's playing with Vika Kan (), and they're through to the semis after they beat 4th seeds Morales/Weedon 4-6 6-4 [10-6] in QF today!

I guess that her knee must feel ok if she hasn't withdrawn from the dubs (#wishfulthinking ).

Didn't expect her to play again TBH, hope the knee doesn't bother her too much

Re: Alona Bondarenko Cheering Thread

She flopped 6-4 5-7 4-6 to Crescenzi :bigcry

I wonder whether she had some kind of lead in the 2nd whoch she choked

Hopefully she isn't hurting and she keeps playing
