Re: Alla Kudryavtseva

Run ends as she falls to Kristina Mladenovic, 4 & 2.

Still she's nearly back to the Top 150, 20 spots higher than how she began the year

Re: Alla Kudryavtseva

Pity she missed RG Q but not sure how well she would have done there anyway.

Doing great in Strasbourg though Make the final!

Re: Alla Kudryavtseva

Alla is on a hot streak! She qualified into the main draw and promptly went on to beat (9) Alize Cornet, 16 62 64 and Zarina Diyas, 46 64 76(4).

QF will be either against Riske or (4) Mladenovic.

BTW, since she qualified into Strasbourg, she pulled out of RG qualies.

Very weak field which she actually took advantage of. Got thrashed by Han (AO R2) in the final but still an encouraging tournament.

Alla finally got something going, reaching the finals of the 75K Launceston. She's back in the Top 200 at #192 from #241.

Hope she keeps up the momentum.

Re: Alla Kudryavtseva

After a tremendous 2014, Alla's performance plummeted in 2015, which she ended at #170. The good news is that she made the qualies before her ranking continued to nosedive to what it is right now #235.

Last year she was a DA, now she will need to fight for the spot, but gaining points may be the better trade-off.

She faces Viktorija Golubic first. Alla beat her 16 16 in their only meeting, at the 2014 USO.

Carlsbad 1st Round: Nicole Gibbs (5) def. Alla Kudryavtseva 6-3, 3-2 by Default

and report what's happened

As she gets more frustrated, she hit all her shots so hard where many landed far out. After she missed an easy put away, she hit a ball out of the court and got a code violation. During the change over after she lost 3 games in a row, she threw the racquet on the ground so hard and it jumped into the audience and almost hit the guy in front of me. After that, WTA supervisor came on court to calm her down but her emotion was just out of control. Then she stormed out of the court and the chair umpire announced that Nicole won the match.

Bonus: When I was walking towards my car, I saw her crying on the side of the parking lot.
