Re: Sabine Lisicki Cheering Thread

Thnx for the info. At the time of commitment she couldn't have known it would go southwards this fast

And BTW...I'm not even thinking about OS. I think that ship has sailed already....unless a huge miracle will happen, which I don't believe will happen. I was talking about her rankings in general.

Re: Sabine Lisicki Cheering Thread

Yeah, she's will play again in Halle with Michael Stich against Angelique Kerber and Nicolas Kiefer
But this exhibition was already announced in early November. Nottingham and 's Hertogenbosch are after the Olympic cutoff anyway.

Re: Sabine Lisicki Cheering Thread

Sabine clearly needs ranking points and her favorite grass season is'd think time to get that ranking up. But guess what...she didn't sign up for Nottingham nor 's-Hertogenbosch again Did she check her ranking recently?! She's not even top 50 anymore ...she needs to play those MMs! Is she again playing a demonstration match like last year in this week? If so, she really needs to set her priorities straight!

Re: Sabine Lisicki Cheering Thread

An illness is stated as the reason for her withdrawal.

Re: Sabine Lisicki Cheering Thread

At least, she pulled out pretty late so there should be some hope it is not too serious.

Re: Sabine Lisicki Cheering Thread

Oh nooooooooooooooo

I was just about to make a new thread for the Spring hard court season

Reason of withdrawal is not known (yet).. Hopefully it's not her knee..that would be really sad..

Re: Sabine Lisicki Cheering Thread

Just as I thought there was a chance for some points since the lineup has weakened....

Looks like another "hard reset" of her career might be happening due to that knee injury.

We'll see

Re: Sabine Lisicki Cheering Thread

You never know with Bine She could have played despite the knee problems. Besides, it's generally stupid to play there...

Re: Sabine Lisicki Cheering Thread

There's no confirmation whether she'll play IPTL or not. First match is next week on Wednesday in Japan and I doubt she would travel to Asia already 9 days before.
