Re: Aliaksandra Sasnovich

Haha I have auto translate on my computer, so even though I speak Estonian it often auto translates. Now that is an example of bad Google Translate The Russian one is good IMO. You can understand it at least

Re: Aliaksandra Sasnovich

I'm just glad to know that Fed Cup seems to mean a lot to her and that she wouldn't pass up the opportunity to play the tie in February.

Yes, apparently Mirnyi is The Man™ over there. I like how she thinks she'd be able to "handle" someone like Johnny Mac.

I've always kept the same username since creating my account almost a decade ago. To answer your other question, I started studying Russian a long time ago - as a teenager, in fact -, along with some other foreign languages (including a couple of "dead" ones ).

I wouldn't call Google Translate "pretty good" (some of the mistakes are baffling, even for a machine), but it's serviceable enough.

Yes, the bits where she talks about wanting to keep playing no matter what, even if it means being carried out on a stretcher after the match, not wanting to look weak in front of her coach while at the same time feeling sorry for him having to watch her suffer, that was pretty cute. Not to mention describing how agonizing it is for her family to follow one of her matches on a scoreboard and not be able to see what's happening (as hardcore tennis fans, I think we can all relate to that ). "В последнее время запрещаю родным смотреть матчи" - good to know she has their well-being in mind (especially grandma ).

I wish we could watch a video of the interview. Hopefully they'll upload one later (I just checked the БТФ's official YT channel, and there's not a whole lot there).

Re: Aliaksandra Sasnovich

I think she knows that she will be invited, he just doesn't want to assume it. She will most likely play #2 Singles

Since when do you speak Russian BTW Did you used to have a different username BTW?

BTW, the Google Translate of Russian is pretty good, I can understand everything She has so much pride, and is such a fighting girl Also I find it interesting how all the BLR girls seem to love Max Mirnyi Also her friends surprised me a little. I expected Ilona and Lidziya, but I did not expect Diana to be her BFF Liza is friends with everyone

Thanks. It's an interesting read - she's pretty candid (except when it comes to sharing the details of those special luck-wishing pre-match rituals she has with her dad - I'd like to know more ). She sounds passionate about tennis and fully committed to her career, seems happy with her new coach, and presents herself as a student of the game. She also seems close to her grandmother, like Vika. I'm loving her more and more.

I'm not sure how fluent you are in Russian - just let me know if you need help with anything.

Обычно, если стремительно кто-то попадает в элиту, так же быстро из нее вылетает.
Might she be thinking of someone in particular?

I don't see why they wouldn't make her part of the team, even if Vika plays the tie (that would be a double , or even a triple with Olga in the mix). I definitely intend to go - and cheer for the visitors, just like I did last February when Karo was playing (drawing annoyed looks from some of my neighbors ).

chingching I must say I wish she would take advantage of the Indoor Hard season more and play a few extra events.

Surprisingly enough, I don't think I've ever visited the Бтф's website. Sounds like the "Press-coffee" interview will be an interesting read.

One of the interviewers kinda looks like a nerdier version of Chaky.

So her next tournaments are going to be Linz, Moscow and Poitiers.

Re: Aliaksandra Sasnovich

"Warm, almost home talk about the achievements and experiences - quite the expected outcome for the meeting with a pleasant and friendly name "Press coffee Alexandra Sasnovich."
Why Sasha unhappy enviable result in Korea, as a feeling after the injury in Tashkent, who can be called the most devoted fan of the athletes, as well as many honest and open answers to the countless questions from reporters, who were turned into an occasion to laugh and experience - all of this very soon on the official website of the Belarusian Tennis Federation

More pics of the "press-coffee" and of Sasha's coming back home here ??? "??????????? ????????? ?????????"
