I think you have a different definition of 'doubting' someone's abilities than other posters have . Saying she has points to defend and her ranking will drop if she does not is a true statement. It is probably more important to ensure a full recovery first, which means she might end up dropping (quite) a few places. Definitely has the talent to make that up once she's back at full strength.
That does not change the fact next few weeks will not exactly be career highlights, between injury rehab and a drop in ranking

I don't know if its good or bad. Two more good events and she is established inside the 100. She has almost nothing else to defend except Baku and any other success like a QF or SF will add her many points.
I am so (too much?) optimistic about her, Ana and others
She and Ana had some breakthrough in last months. They should be encouraged instead of doubted.

Re: Patricia Maria Tig

Needs to start picking up points in places asap. Her whole ranking is basically just Madrid and Baku... which will soon drop off anyway

Now, the next best thing we can hope for, is that whatever it is, it's not one of those injuries that stays and follows you for months & years. She now has a few extra weeks to heal till Cinci.
She's still on the 50k Granby (CAN) + 25k Gatineau (CAN) / Landisville (USA) lists for the weeks of August 1st and August 8th. We'll see.

Re: Patricia Maria Tig

She is so cute in the interview below
Talks about the great food in Wimbi and her big eating appetite
She should be hooked up with Marion, maybe her appetite will transform to Marion
I think she is a fast HC player so clay is not her best surface. Madrid is faster than clay.

^^ Might as well copyright that look.... it's sooo her

Didn't have a chance today against Sevastova Heard her say in the PC that it was a mistake to play today, her elbow was hurting her pretty bad... already withdrew from Bastad qualies

Mentioned her elbow started hurting her again during PC "Unfortunately I don't feel great. I only realized this now once my elbow started hurting again, but I knew I should have stopped, even though it only hurt a little [during the match] but I didn't do that. Obviously that's not the reason why I lost today."

Re: Patricia Maria Tig

Not a good quality match unfortunately but understandable given that Pati hasn't trained almost at all because of the elbow injury

Won the Romanian Open in R1 Patricia Tig d (wc)Ioana Minca 76(5) 63

Minca was actually pretty good in the few games I watched during the first set.

Re: Patricia Maria Tig

Seems she felt some pain in her right elbow when serving and didn't want to risk this for Bucharest Open.
