US Open qualies

Kris Plis won her opening match easily against Tamara Korpatsch, 2 & 4. So she gains points over last year.

Harder match now against Aleksandra Krunic. Kris is 0-1 against her, but this is their first meeting in three years. Aleksandra got to the 4th round here in 2014 as qualifier, but can be unpredictable.

Amazing week by Karo

I've always known she has the talent and quality to do this. Next target: Grand Slam. Get it, Karo!

She demolished Mugu and Kerber, but i think her best match was against Kuznetsova

Karo

Best possible scenario: a convincing win in a Premier final AND doing the smart, sensible thing by skipping New Haven

Stats for the match:

I wanna see her in the second week of a GS, she can do it. It's time!!
Totally agree about skipping NH (but knowing her, she probably won't ). The last thing I want to see is a R1 flop at the US Open like last year.

Easier win than expected over MUGuruza

It was quite windy at times, and Karo dealt with the conditions a lot better than her opponent. Her first serve % was actually the highest of the week (close to 60%), which always helps.

Karo is 2-4 against Kerber and lost their last two encounters, which were both finals (2015 Birmingham + 2015 Stanford). Both matches were very competitive three-setters, though.

Hoping she can improve her record in finals and win her first P5

ITA!!!

Hopefully this mental hang-up Karo has over performing at Majors will be eradicated come NYC. She is far too talented to not have made the second week yet.

Re: Pliskova Twins Cheering Thread

First serve % could have been better of course, but she did play quite well overall.

Nice winner-to-UE differential
