After Wimbledon, Sharapova will surpass Petrova won't she?

I just find it hard to believe that Sharapova won't be on the team.

Any news on the Russian Olympic squad?

Hello Lena D fans....

Does anyone know when the final selections for the Russian team will be announced. Many other countries have put out their lists, but I can't wait to hear who they choose for Russia.
I think the team should be:

Two additional players for doubles:

Obviously Elena should be there for the singles, as she is the current silver medalist.

But with so many talented Russians, will Elena get to play doubles as well? Will she choose to focus on singles?

I hope she plays doubles. I've heard rumors she could be paired with Myskina, with whom she has played before. That's an awesome team...but they might rack up a lot of df's.

Personally, I'd like to see Elena and Maria Sharapova team up for doubles. Those two leggy blondes would be an impressive team to behold. PLus their games should complement each other's quite weill.

Petrova has also been doing very well at doubles (with Shaughness as her partner) and could also be a good match for Elena.

What do you guys say?
