Sofya

She's been pretty regular on her serve, with 87% of 1st in and no DFs.

She'll now have to beat Varvara Flink, she's just beaten last week in SF, to get into the Final

Glad she beat Bonic. Would be weird losing to a LL you already defeated in qualies.

Presumably after they add last week's result (7 points for a final!) on Sonya will have a singles ranking?

Agree, that the easy way to climb the ranking, but as sson as she will face tougher players she cld easy lost all points. Hope, that as soon as she will reach some SF F or win some tournamnet in SES she will start to play in Europe at least

meanwhile she is down the break 1-3 vs Bonic

Sofya will have more competition in 10K's in Northern Europe, or even the ones in Turkye. These wins in SES are overall easy and not much to learn from them.

On the other hand, as she is unranked, it gives her some easy points quickly to climb the ranking soon and has a better position on the EL's to come when she will face tougher tournaments and opponents.
I believe that it's the best way for her to climb quickly the ranking.
When she'll be around #500 (pretty soon I hope ) she'll be seeded in almost any 10K in Europe and she'll have the opportunity to face better better and still earn points.

Yeah... The 10K in Slovakia this week is way stronger for instance, would have been better match practice, definitely.
