Re: Estonian Tennis

Also, Estonia defeated Latvia and Lithuania in a Future Tennis Cup, held in Tallinn. Sofishka and Lissi played and thoroughly destroyed their opponents in Singles and Doubles, serving bagels everywhere I don't take it too seriously though as their opponents seemed pretty unheard of I don't think the other countries took it as seriously as Estonia

chingching Even though Katu has been absent for a few months now, she has been doing commercials for her Dad's advertising company that have aired on TV I think

Re: Estonian Tennis

Saara and Carol both won, whilst Anette and Elena both lost. Maileen plays her R1 today It really shows that these 2002 gurlz are better than the 99/00/01 girls

chingching Saara, Anette, Maileen, Elena and Carol are all playing the G4 in Jurmala, and they mostly got quite bad draws Hopefully we still get some wins

Re: Estonian Tennis

Katriin making her comeback at a 14U event in Latvia later this month Lissi and Sofiya are also on the list We now have 5 amazing talented 2002 girls (I am counting Saara as 2002 )

Anyway, at the G4 next week we have Maileen, Anette, Elena and Carol all definitely playing Hopefully some good results for Maileen and Carol in particular Elena hasn't really progressed as much as I would have liked.

chingching Quite a few girls in Jelgava for the Category 2 16U event Unfortunately both Sofishka and Lissi got bad draws facing the 1st and 2nd seeds in the 2nd round respectively. Sofishka could have gone far here with a better draw as she is under ranked for sure. She won Round 1 60 61 Anyway hopefully other girls like Gendra (already a WAG of Alex Mändma ) can win some matches

Re: Estonian Tennis

Saara won another match in Latvia this time, and Anett made QFs Not bad performances from either, and hopefully Saara plays some more ITFs now She's not playing in Jurmala though

Estonians in Jurmala: Nuudi, Mäelt, Burk, Kaul, Malygina, Plakk, Sepman, Liivik, Muuli and Kaljaste X 2.

I don't think expense would be an issue as I think ETL funds such trips. He's playing in Egypt next week on Clay, so maybe just decided to stay local and build his ranking up again. He had a great tournament in Pärnu, so maybe just wanted to play more on Clay and couldn't be bothered I don't know really, but you may be right about an injury, because he played last week in Egypt and lost in R2 and has not been in the best form aside from that Pärnu run. I loved watching those matches, the crowd got so into it. I hope if Estonia does host Fed Cup again they try and make it a bit bigger with more marketing and stuff + more seats, to try and really get the community involved. Especially now that Anett is Top 100.
