and she seemed moved a lil bit and asked me if I will come back tomorrow, then I decided to extend one day in Shenzhen.

I think she lost the power of her forehand a lil bit, maybe because the court was fast and she didn't have enough time to hit the ball in her way. there was a vouluteer stood beside me,judged laura like: She seems tall and strong, but her opponent, that japanese girl hit the ball harder than her. It was what I concerned as well. But positively, I think her serve has improved a lot. both 1st serve and 2nd serve, maybe it is what Didi brought?
Thanks for this, and your previous post. Really interesting and TF at its best.

I hope the Laura/Didi partnership works out... It may just take some time to see any results. From your description and some other instances, it sounds like Laura is really impatient and just want to be back in the top 100 straight away. I hope she goes back to the US, she seems to play her best over there.

I think mostly the loss was all about the concentration and mentality.
Thank you for the match report. I hope you enjoyed getting to see her regardless of the result.

This confirms a lot of what we've been thinking. Didi's got a lot of work on his hands. If she's not being receptive to encouragement then it's tricky. Like I said before, this Asian trip didn't seem to be the best. She enjoyed the food in Japan and that was about it.

Her sports psychologist needs to be getting her into a more positive mindset. The negativity is making her wrongly question good calls and just go into a downwards spiral.

But on the bright side, it looks like Laura should get into the MD of 60k Croissy-Beauborg. She is currently #1 on the qualifying list.

Yes. Dieter "Didi" Kindlmann. He was a hitting partner with Sharapova. Last year he coached Pavlyuchenkova. You're right I doubt he was particularly cheap.

Well let's hang on to the the thought that it's early days and so he hasn't had a chance yet to make a difference. Well I hope that's the case anyway.
