Re: Ana Bogdan

. From what I read and see the score and the chances, this was somewhat similar to the match vs. Babos from Florianopolis, only she didn't have set points here. Was a good chance to go far here, had she won the match .

Re: Ana Bogdan

^ None of us is happy I presume. I'm just not very sure how to spell it out in such way that, if she reads this, it doesn't block her from playing this good until the important point, but then does the necessary to win that point instead of throwing it all away.

Re: Ana Bogdan

Very pressed that Ana lost to Flipkens in a match that she could have so easily won

Re: Ana Bogdan

Painful. That 1/10 BP conversion in the 1st looked already embarrassing on paper... but to hear it was just thanks to a DF.

I remember someone joking last year about Sorana having an "ethical problem" against breaking. Well, Ana displayed that so much in the 1st set today.

There's one thing to have no chance against a better player... and another to have so many chances, but do nothing with them. Fix it please!

Re: Ana Bogdan

That set was was like a joke... a total joke.... no way she could have lost it Had a milion BP's, including having 0-40 once and not being able to break. Only converted one BP that was actually a DF from Flipkens Then again in the TB, having 5-2

She plays really good, don't get me wrong, but so many times at important points, she just goes blank

Oh Ana...

She was so close from taking the first set. Served for it at 5-4 but got broken. Got her turn to serve again at 5-4 in TB but lost both serves.

I hope she won't let the missed opportunities bring her down in the 2nd set. In either case... holding pretty well against former WTA#13.

Re: Ana Bogdan

I would do with a good enough ranking for Australian Open MD, not necessarily Top 100 .

There's still time. In October and November there are some big ITFs and WTA 125ks that could help big time, both her and Tig.

Re: Ana Bogdan

^ We all do. But she was really unfortunate with the draw here... so her chances for this year are slimming down. Still, she should believe in her chances and give her best tomorrow!

To bring it closer to the topic tho, I remember when I first joined this forum, Ana was playing uzbeki 25k's, in like Karshi and Namangan... even playing in Bukhara in 2013. Anyway, my point is she had some good wins in that country, let's hope she can have a nice run this time also
I”d really like Ana to succeed and break into top 100 this year or at least next year.

R1 will be on Tuesday, hopefully as late as possible for me to see it as well .

Hoping for a good match, after some time out of the competition. It'll be extremely tough, but the surprise can be made .

Re: Ana Bogdan

^ Yeh. Except for Sorana maybe (...maybe!!), all girls have an ugly draw... whether it's a tough player they need to fight, or Irina having to face Simona so soon, next week's draws are not so kind on our girls. Let's hope they make the best of it.
