Florin Mergea had the same problem in about the same period of time in 2015. He played throughout the pain with not so much rest. The results weren't great but he played. It passed mostly towards the end of the season but the scare is still there.

There are different bodies / cases though.

In the case of Edina Gallovits-Hall it ended up in surgery .

Good choice to call her Suzzie. There is no such player with this name
Cats are terrible travelers, especially over long distances. Not to mention having them switch from one hotel room to the other is not exactly a good idea. Suzzie will have to stay home and wait for her human to get back
Pati does like the old school things, so the name makes sense. Plus it is a good PC-choice, like you said.

Re: Patricia Maria Tig

Didn't go to Cincy .

IDK about New Haven Alternates but cut-off is at #86 and she was #121 at the deadline but if she's among the Alternates she has the advantage of being USO qualies week for other players.

Of course. It's known for about 3 weeks already that she'll be in MD. (at least for tennis s )

Or do you mean she won't go to Cincy or *New Haven (* Q list to be retrieved) ?

Re: Patricia Maria Tig

Withdrew from Granby after all and from the next Canadian ITF.

Next would be Cincinnati Qualies, where she's Alterante #9 though ...

I think you have a different definition of 'doubting' someone's abilities than other posters have . Saying she has points to defend and her ranking will drop if she does not is a true statement. It is probably more important to ensure a full recovery first, which means she might end up dropping (quite) a few places. Definitely has the talent to make that up once she's back at full strength.
That does not change the fact next few weeks will not exactly be career highlights, between injury rehab and a drop in ranking

I don't know if its good or bad. Two more good events and she is established inside the 100. She has almost nothing else to defend except Baku and any other success like a QF or SF will add her many points.
I am so (too much?) optimistic about her, Ana and others
She and Ana had some breakthrough in last months. They should be encouraged instead of doubted.

Re: Patricia Maria Tig

Needs to start picking up points in places asap. Her whole ranking is basically just Madrid and Baku... which will soon drop off anyway
