Re: Caroline Garcia

Yeah, i mean at the end of the day she lost to the number two player in the world. It was not another Vekic and it wasn't a choke. I think it is a result that she can recover from quite quick, especially if she goes far in the doubles competition.

Caroline said that she had no expectations here. I hope that her mentality towards the tournament can change in the future because there is no reason why she can't do well here except that- her mind.

But that is effectively her clay season done. It was not great but she won a title which is a positive and she should make Rio for singles now for sure. I hope she can do damage during grass season. Obviously draw depending, but i hope she can perhaps make the second week of Wimbledon or the US Open.

Re: Caroline Garcia

No it was not that bad. She did ugly UE but some wonderful points. I think at one moment she did not believe enough in herself, and that's why she lost like that. But she tried a comeback, i don't know why she got tense at the end but hey guys it was Radwanska and she was so close to do something big here. She was not enough positive here, but she fight back and it is good thing. I think she lost her game for some games, but it is the way Radwanska plays so yes she was not good enough in this match but she will come back stronger. Next should be Mallorca, so keep working and it will work Caroline.

Re: Caroline Garcia

It wasn't that bad. She did get nervous and emotional, was complaining about the balls etc... hence the errors. But she managed to play WITH the crowd and let them help her and came back in the 2nd. Honestly, she was very close to taking that second set to a breaker. Last year, she would have lost 62 61. But hey, Radwanska is no 2 in the world, so she is too solid mentally.

Oh Caroline :'(

I couldn't watch the match, but i hoped she would be able to keep it close and take a set.

It's not an awful result by any means and she did better than last year. Caro might never be able to get it right at RG unfortunately.

Re: Caroline Garcia

this is not an excuse, she had to focus on what she's doing on the court

radwanska did nothing great to win in such an "easy" score

she broke her from the start, but you could see she was not "into" the game
no serve, no patience, no game plan, late reaction = LOSE

Re: Caroline Garcia

For her défense, public was very annoying during points making noise all the time it was really annoying.

Re: Caroline Garcia

lost 2 and 4 to pushwanska

Oh my God, what an horrible match from caroline today, did so many errors, was down 2-6 1-4 to finally have a REACTION

but she never was in controle of this match, such a waiste of opportunity cause she can play so much better than that

she can have regrets cause she played 3/4 of this match in radwanska terms, she was hotting her opponent zones while she should have played big in her own zones to hurt her better

I liked the fact she tried at the end o the match to make a comeback, the crowd was cheering big for her. Those DFS in that last service game. Her serve was so baad today

disappointing, still needs much work to do to become a better player

Caro lost 2 & 4

Just unbelievable how she lost her serve to lose the match

Game point -> DF -> DF -> UE -> GSM Radwanska

Re: Caroline Garcia

I hope Caro can win this. She has the better clay court game that Aga imo, but needs to keep her head in check.

I hope she doesn't blow a lead though

Re: Caroline Garcia

Agatha can't generate much pace on her own, and it will be even worse on this muck, so Caroline should be able to keep herself in rallies easily. Serve & return dynamics I don't know how they will work; Caroline's kamikaze ROS might have been useful for once, but I suspect Agatha will just focus on getting like 75% or more 1st serves in.

Still, RG isn't a priority for Agatha, so she may punk out if she's being outplayed by what she feels is an unsurmountable margin. Or she may stick around waiting for Caroline to choke.

Caroline in 3, with one of the sets being a complete blowout one way or another.

Re: Caroline Garcia

It could very well be. If Caro gets a big win here then it really could inspire her to go further in the competition, and if she has a good result at the French then all of a sudden she might start believing in herself.

You can do it Caroline. Allez!!!!

I have a clear feeling that this could be the match that’s going to define Caroline's career.

If she uses the energy of the crowd in a positive way and plays smart aggressive tennis, she'll have a decent chance to win this match.

I am sure Radwanska is not happy that she has to play Caro in R2.

Re: Caroline Garcia

Caro always manages to almost give me heart attack, but i am so happy for her that she got a big win here.

Impressed with how she managed to recover from that second set blip to turn it around and claim a straight sets win. She goes into the match against Aga with less pressure, so hopefully she can find her best game.

Allez Caro!!!

Re: Caroline Garcia

tough 2nd set, she always has a moment when she lose a bit "the plot", made many ues

happy she managed to make such a comeback, from 0-4, then 2-5

she has to keep fighting the way she does, playing point by point especially against radwanska

didnt watch her match, but very impressive scoreline, she'll be ready for caroline

it's up for caro to stay strong and agressive to "destroy "the polish wall

just happy right now
