Driving distances can differ. Depends on where they put the roads.

Re: Johanna-Jenny Larsson

My distances were approximate.

And I wouldn't drive any of them in the Scirocco

Distance is sometimes a secondary factor when it comes to train travelling. Norway only has snail trains and e.g. Bodø-Oslo is 1200 km and takes 18 hrs. Meanwhile, Hamburg-München is 800 km and takes 6 hours, i.e. it's twice as fast. And in France with the TGV you can go twice as fast as in Germany; Paris-Marseille is 800 km in 3.5 hours. But obviously, if you're going somewhere off the high speed rail grid, it takes a lot longer.

It's weird. I would never fly to Houston or El Paso, but I would fly to New Orleans or Chicago even though they're both about as far away from Dallas. But I'd have to cross borders.
Interesting.

We also drive a lot on the Innerstate. (Texan for Interstate, but appropriate because we never leave the state on the Innerstate.)

I don't think it's completely implausible that a lower-ranked player would go by train from Sweden/Helsingborg to Munich or thereabout. Copenhagen-Hamburg-Munich is pretty fast. But probably not past the Alps or all the way to Rome, and definitively not if they were in a hurry.

Thanks. That's definitely a metaphor, not about going somewhere by train.

Odd choice considering she won the tournament and probably didn't have all the time in the world to get to Austria.

Maybe 1000-2000 euros. Plus covered expenses for the day (so train probably isn't necessary )
