Re: Tara Moore

She also lost in the first round of Eastbourne to Brengle. so she hasn't won a match on grass this season (but then I forgot she had to qualify at Eastbourne..but erh still go get her Tara! ).

Re: Tara Moore

Alison has been injured, and dropped out of the top 100. She has played Rosmalen and Mallorca, losing in the first round to Bencic and Duque-Marino.

So yes, you've got to think that Tara has a chance, if she plays as well as she has recently.

Playing Van Uytvanck in the first round.

TBH, probably one of the best opponents Tara could have hoped for. I think Tara has a shot here to finally win a R1 at Wimbledon.

Oh well, it's been a good week for Tara. Best of luck against Jo in Birmingham.

And that is the million-dollar question: Can she keep this momentum going and push herself up into the Top 100 sometime soon? Well, I think that she is playing well enough to make it, but obviously she needs to be able to sustain this level for an extended period of time in order to actually do it. Right now, she is playing at home and on a surface that she is very comfortable on -- I see that her ITF profile says that grass is her favourite surface -- and those are things that are working in her favor. So, my question is: What happens when the grass-court season ends and it is time to travel again? If she can maintain her current level right through that period of transition then I think that the chances of this being a genuine breakthrough are actually very good.

Not me, but very happy for her.
Up to 228 in the live rankings. What a boost!

If she wins her next match she will go into the top 200.

It's her 2nd - she beat Iveta Benesova in the round 64 at Birmingham in 2012.
