Re: Tennis Muttering Thread - vol3

Novak is just the best PERIOD.

But my mainstory was of course Angie. I mean, I'm following her career for a long time and she has worked so hard for this and you can actually see it. Just look at her. She never looked better and more fit.

She was never the same attention seeker like some other german girls, but she was and is the best female german player we have. But she was under the radar most of the time, which was crazy but fits her own personality. Now she stepped out greatly and her success was such a big joy to watch.

Seriously, I always wanted our JJ to win such a thing, but this wish faded more and more over all those years. But what happened with Angie was like a fairy tale, even when she's a pretty consistent TOP 10 player for some years now.

I'm still amazed and happy about Angie.

Well, I didn't saw it coming this quick, but congrats to Kerber, an amazing run( remembering Jeca's 2008) and totally deserved win today :hailing:
And Serena was so gracious after the match And obviously not faking it. She just knows that she will anyhow pass Steffi's record.
Still we have to figure where her soft spot for polish girls is and remodel it to Serbian

Wish JJ had 10% of Kerber's will to win a match.
Off the court she seems lovely, on the court her behaviour & sportsmanship has been questionable, though she seems to have improved. She was calm by her standards & kept her emotions in check I admit when she lost serve at 5-3, I did not think she would win another game. Where are all the youngsters? Kerber (28), Penetta (33), Serena (34).

First men's GS doubles title for Jamie Murray beautiful speech especially when he spoke about his wife having to stay home & work hard to pay the bills so he can play though Empress will always be his first

Yet I don't see her repeating this result. If she'd encountered Aga or Maria she would've been out.

I at least hope she stop volturing MMs not really needs to do it.

The think is Serena hit major errors at crucial points, she rarely does that. Serena's level was okay she played good tennis after the first set but made so stupid errors on crucial point. She never does that when facing ouR Sugar muffin JJ.

And again U can't take anything away from Kerber she fought so harf hit some great shots yet Serena lost this.

2 weeks ago mental midget Doi made 3 UE after having MP against Kerber ,now we got a new GS champion who beat Serena in the finals. This girl is a fighter and deserved her slam.

A note to Serena, why didn't U fucking play like that in the USO 08 final. Pathetic. RG will be ur 22nd hun!
I don't think Serena's level in that match was any better , JJ was/is the mental midget and that's why she lost the 2nd set and the match.

I remember when Angie lost in the first round of Wimbledon to Robson, now she's beating Serena in a slam final Congrats Angie
