Re: Amanda Carreras

Reading post #226, it looks as though she decided to skip grass this year.

With her ranking, I think she'd only have had to show a little commitment to grass by playing some warm ups, in order to have got at least a QWC. But without that, I'm not surprised she didn't get one.

While we have hardly anyone worthy of a MDWC, we have a lot who could be considered for a QWC.

I'm not criticising Amanda's choice - maybe she feels she can do better on other surfaces, without the distraction of grass,

Re: Amanda Carreras

Lost R1 in Caserta 25K this week, but won the doubles with stablemate Savoretti. Supposedly she's playing the Spanish 10K next week.

Re: Amanda Carreras

Great form shown by Amanda as of late just when it looked as if she was going to slip down the rankings.

It'll be interesting to see whether she opts to go to the UK for the grass season or stay closer to home to play on clay where the tournaments will be a bit weaker.

Re: Amanda Carreras

Still in a rich vein of form, qualifies easily for the 50K+H in Saint-Gaudens, France. Faces Arina Rodionova in R1 of a seedless section of the main draw.
