This was such a huge chance to win a Grand Slam. And I`m sure Aga would have beaten Bartoli in Wimbledon final, Head To Head is 7-0 and she knows how to play Bartoli. Not sure if she ever gets such a big chance again. Aga would not have frozen like Lisicki. Very frustrating loss. And Aga was leading 3-0 in 3rd set, and 2 points away from final. The serve made the difference in 3rd set. Simply too weak from Aga. This is the most painful loss in her career so far, and Aga will always think back to this match if she never wins Wimbledon (or a Grand Slam).
I just guess it will make her more motivated to finally reach QF of US Open.

I didn't get to watch the match thanks to work but was watching the scores. When Aga went up 3-0 in the third I let out a sign of relief. I knew Marion had gone through and was well aware of their head to head. I was excited for Saturday to roll around. So I continued on with boring work. Later on I put on the results page and my mouth dropped when I noticed Sabine had won.

I don't think we should be too hard on Aga as she is clearly pretty pissed off with herself over this loss. For her this is probably the worst loss of her career. Even more so then Wimbledon Final last year given she was against Serena.

She needs to just keep working away. It is true opportunities like that arise very rarely but when she is in the correct mind frame and is physically fit she can benefit from them. Clearly from her slam results this year she is taking the slams more serious. She wants ones more than ever.

Credit to Sabine of course who played the tournament of her life. Her path to the final compared to Marion was extraordinary.

Thanks, appreciated. It was quite a bitter thing to swallow.

All credit to Sabine, she's having an amazing tournament and she had the hardest draw, so very well deserved. Even though of course I'd rather have Aga winning yesterday

I'd like to applaud each and every one of you for being so gracious in defeat on what I know was a heartbreaking day for you.

If not for her lack of power Aga would be the best player in the world. As far as I'm concerned she's definitely the most talented in terms of her set of skills and understanding of the game. She's the most beautiful player to watch and I hope that one day she will win that slam title. It would be a triumph for tennis for sure. Aga, every tennis fan should bow down and kiss your feet.

Sabine seems like a nice enough girl, so good luck to her for the final.

Aga played a good match indeed, I'm sad for her because she really wasn't far from another final. She knew it too. I guess she entered this match a little bit too tired after all the hours she spent on the court during the past days, she ran out of energy at the end. On the other hand, Sabine played at such a high level, she deserved the victory as well.

Aga One day, it will be yours. I'm still so proud of what she showed during this fortnight Let's not forget she is the only top player who survived that long

Tough loss in a thriller of a match. This was a great opportunity but in the end i think Sabine won it more than Aga lost it. Still she played a strong tournament, i have enjoyed watching her play here, good reason to be optimistic about the rest of her year.

Never say never Not so long ago, some were saying she would never reach a Grand Slam semifinal. Now she has already done it twice

We have to realize also that she did a great job in Wimbledon again this year, reaching the SF with some very good wins.

By the way, I think it hasn't been said but she has secured her No.4 spot Starting from now, she doesn't have many points to defend until the end of the season, except a final in Tokyo and a SF at the YEC.

I think this wasn't her last opportunity She's only 24, after all. Except Azarenka, she's surely the steadiest player of her generation and definitely one of the best players on grass in the world. Best of luck in the future!

I don't think she will ever have better chance for Wimbledon title than this.
So this is very bad loss. Specially that it was so close. But she no energy left in the last two games.

SF is still great result and she proved she can reach semis with tough draws so I guess it was still a good tournament for her.

I hope she can reach at least a QF in USO.
