We screwed up our rain prayers. It's pouring in Dallas.

As I said in JoLa's thread, generally I don't think you bail on doubles until the semis or the finals in singles. That's a lot of cash, doubles points and prestige to walk away from. But it's obviously Kiki's call.

Vitalia and Galina are up 4-2 in the second, so it's possible it may go 3.

Re: Kiki Bertens

It doesn't look as if it is going to rain any time soon, but the Williams sisters are not having an easy match right now. Let's hope they have to play a third set.

They are 4*-2 behind in the second set now.

The will is there but the body is now just dead. Kiki won't be able to run as hard or keep the ball deep and Keys will feast on the room she'll be given. Old Keys could have fucked that up but she's way to precise at the moment. Even a fresh Kiki would have a hard time against her.

Re: Kiki Bertens

Kiki and Johanna have both withdrawn from Bol, BTW. (Since Friday evening).

But I don't know if that means they have no intentions of skipping doubles at RG. Johanna had qualified for Rio with her R2 points, and if Kiki had lost R3 she could not make Rio with Bol points anyway.

Crap. It's now showing up as being scheduled, but not assigned a Court. Not to be played before 2 p.m.

Pray for rain.
