Yes, some poster said that she had the South African flag next to her name on the ITF website. I believe I saw it on the "Players disappeared" thread not long after she came back to tennis

It was a back injury that Tammy got in Hua Hin Withdrew from Sumter this week. Hope she's getting better and will be able to play 25k Florence next week
Reading her recents interviews, looks like she is happy to play for Belgium even tho she spent a lot of time in RSA, working with her dad during her retirement. She said she was grateful to us, belgian fans I kind of believe she'll keep playing for Belgium then. She always seemed to enjoy Fed Cup and had good relationships with fellow belgians ^^

Reached the semis of $25k Hua Hin this week
Defeated WTA #281 in second round

She retired after one game in that semifinal match though
Hope it's nothing serious...

Tammy lost 2-6 2-6 in final Good week anyway and she looks happy so that's all what matters. Hope she can stay healthy now and enjoy her 2nd career

She received a WC into Hua Hin 25k MD (funny that the winner this week has to play qualies ) and will play another WC, Luangnam, that she beat this week..

Sweet Tammy reached the final of her 2nd tournament What a delightful comeback so far! She's beaten some solid Asian players this week, all in sraight sets Will play the final against the Taiwanese Hua-Chen Lee, who has a 15-4 W/L record this year and also beat Tammy last week already.
Could be a sweet revenge and a good way to start her 2nd career Great week anyway, keep it up Tam!

Re: Tamaryn Hendler

Also qualified for MD
Someone could actually tell for which country she'll be playing now? Because ITF livescore put her under the Bielorussian flag while she's still Belgian on the draws and on her ITF profile and some people also say that she will play for South Africa ?! I'm confused

Re: Tamaryn Hendler

Back in the days when she was touted as the "next best thing" Belgium was very fast to select her for Fed Cup, to avoid South-Africa being first
I still remember her three set losses to Zi Yan, Kateryna Bondarenko and Aleksandra Wozniak in 2007/2008. Everybody was hoping that these were the first steps in a very big breakthrough, but unfortunately that never materialized.

I wonder if it's a real comeback or a one time thing for fun.
She is still only 25 so it could definitely be possible if she really wants to.

A pity to see her representing South-Africa now
