Re: Caroline Garcia

In terms of pure tennis talent, Caro is not only top 10 she's a multiple time Grand Slam winner. Of course talent doesn't always equal success, especially in a sport like tennis.

Caro will never live up to her full potential, but she can certainly make it to the elite of the game if she pulls it together.

At the end of the day, she is 6-2 in 2016 and has had some good wins.

Re: Caroline Garcia

I was there and seriously oh my god. Caro was so impressive, she is in a really good form right now. No pressure at all, i think Amelie does help her very very well. I was a little scared at the beginning because of last year semis but nothing at all. What a weekend for her. She has past another level and i think it is her year, for sure she will go far. I read Kiki was the leader of the team but no, i am sorry but i think Caro is the leader of the french Fed Cup Team.

Re: Caroline Garcia

an extract from the fed cup official website, the italian fed cup captain talking about Caro

Barazzutti said he’d been the most impressed by Garcia, who broke Giorgi three times and produced 11 winners including six aces.

“She plays very good, she’s top ten for sure,” said Barazzutti, who has been Fed Cup captain for 14 years and won the title four times.

Giorgi didn’t offer an explanation for her defeat, apart from saying; “I didn’t play my best today, that’s all.”

lol at Giorgi reaction there, the hanshake is just "mythic"

so what to think after such a compliment? just the obvious, caro can play top10, we all agree there but after watching her intv I still see she doesnt believe in herself enough.

If someone, with such experience, such palmares say that, Caro you have to believe it!

I want her to take all she felt during this fed cup tie in mind and reproduce it on tour, she can do it, she did it against the italians so believe in yourself and go for it!

top10 are players who believe in themself, Roland Garros must be the best place she wants to be cause the crowd will cheer for her, she can win at home, she proved it at limoges las year, she proved it in marseilles this week end

she has to believe she can do that everywhere, she just proved she plays top10 level, so do it in a regular way for God sake

Re: Caroline Garcia

Well done, Clutcholine!

If only she could maintain this mental stability for the slams.

Re: Caroline Garcia

yes she should play fed cup every day, once again today she made the job against giorgi, so MUUCH PRESSURE there, Schiavone and Errani staying in front of her cheering for giorgi to make the come back

so proud of this team along with kristina, they can be proud of them cause it was far from easy even if we win 3.1, the semis will be open against Netherlands but YEAHHHH

GREAT FROM CAROLINE after the AO disappointment

Re: Caroline Garcia

Nice and easy straight sets win over Giorgi too. If only it was Fed Cup all year round

Re: Caroline Garcia

who is that girl??? this caroline is not the same as we can see on the tour

it must be the "fed cup effect" but God what she did to take the break and lead 6.5 in this 2nd set
she went for it and took it from the annoying italian player and all this crowd cheering loudly for her

I hope she'll take all the positive vibes from this fed cup experience, after kristina nightmare against giorgi SHE HAD TO MAKE THINGS HAPPEN
She did it and so RESPECT

Hope tomorrow Kristina to beat Errani and Caro giving the tie point to the team

Re: Caroline Garcia

Yeah, if anything that match was acted as a detriment to Caro's career. She showed her talent at a very young age on a big stage and has had the pressure and hype behind her since.

This has been going on ever since Murray's (in)famous comments during her match against Sharapova at the 2011 FO, and that was over four and a half years ago. She was close to achieving a breakthrough, but ended up self-destructing mentally because she got too nervous. How many times has that happened since?

Re: Caroline Garcia

Yeah, she is not Federer who can take the ball that early.

Caro needs to play more to her strengths rather than trying to be a player that she is not. She is talented enough to play a more varied game than she does.

I agree with the comments about her needing a slam breakthrough.

I was speaking to my friend a few months back about Caro and i was saying how talented she was etc.. and how she can do this that and the other. He replied saying "I hear a lot about what Caro can do, but i have never seen or heard of her actually doing it."
