Martic choked to Svitolina who choked to Simona who choked to Ostapenko.

Ugh. Barf. Simona broken for 3-6 3rd set at 30-40 from 15-0 to 15-30 to 30-30. The match was 1 hour 59 minutes long.

Simona isn't ready to win a slam and I doubt she ever will be. She led 3-0 2nd set with 3 break points for 4-0 2nd set and led 3-1 3rd set but lost both of those sets.

Well, when Caro reaches the FO quarters, it seems she's destined to run into the champion to be! Congrats to Ostapenko and my sympathies to Halep. That point in the decider at 3-3 30-40; Ostapenko's shot was going way out and then hits the netcord and just dies inside the line. Must've been heartbreaking for Halep.

Sigh. Simona broken for 3-4 2nd set after being up 3-0 with 3 break points for 4-0 2nd set. Break Simona.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I think Karo Pliskova would have a better chance at winning the French Open final against Ostapenko than Simona as Karo Pliskova's serve is a lot harder to break even on clay

You really want someone to super randomly win a slam?

Timea hits with a lot of depth which makes Ostapenko uncomfortable, she also hits with more variety than Caro.

Wow. Awful choke by Svitolina as she loses from 6-3 5-1 up and she led 4-2 in the 2nd set tiebreak with a match point at 6-5 in the 2nd set tiebreak. Svitolina led 5-0 in the 1st set before finally winning it 6-3.

So much for Svitolina being ready to win a slam.

I'm glad to see Simona still in the tournament though.

A net cord winner is such an awful way to lose an important point.

Tennis Channel finally switched to Svitolina's match when it was 6-5 3rd set (Svitolina was down 2-5 3rd set) and Svitolina serving for the match.

Tennis Channel does it again...#5 seed Svitolina is 2 points from losing but they stick with Murray's match. Martic is now serving for the match and they still haven't switched.
