I don't even think that Peer is going to play anymore. Can't imagine what the team will look like.

Maybe, but I'm not at all sure that's the reason a retired player was preferred over her as one of the towel-wavers.
Deniz was supposed to play a number of challengers over the last couple of months and didn't, then was absent from the national champs as well.
Pretty sure she's injured

Israel's team for the Fed Cup Europe/Africa Zone Group I event is Shahar Peer, Julia Glushko, Keren Shlomo and Ofri Lankri.

The bitterness continues.

Here is a translate (by Google) of Shlomo Mann's blog (in Hebrew):

Maariv published a year ago "and NRG interview with Denise Hazniok young tennis player, who opened a big mouth on Shahar Peer and caused a lot of noise Betzet Israeli tennis. This week on Wednesday (27/02/13) at nrg thought that they continue that juicy interview. They met Hazniok status raised her Facebook page where she mocked the glory, and immediately published the words in the headline of the sports section. After a while it became clear that Denise and Hazniok, but humorous page of some of her admirers. The news was removed quickly, but fans quite enjoyed the fall of the site and put it on top of their joy.

Both of them are classless in this sad feud.
Deniz started it (to use a fitting kindergarten term ), but Shahar should have been the adult here and she wasn't with her behavior after routing Khazaniuk at the national semis.

In any case, Khazaniuk have nothing to celebrate in case her level remains the same (about #500) and maybe at some point Shahar passes her on her way down. That's pathetic.

Slight correction:"Soon you'll be the scenery"

But anyway, wow. I Can't believe she reached this level of uncontrolled anger, enough to publicly write stuff like this.

Deniz is still bitter- left this on Shahar's Facebook page yesterday(showing a picture of the beach in Brazil) 2/26/13

את מסתכלת על הנוף במקום להתרכז במשחק. בקרוב את תהיי הנוף שאראה כשאחלוף על פנייך בדירוג.

Roughly translated:

You look at the scenery instead of concentrating on the game. Soon you'll be seeing the scenery when I would pass you in the rankings.

A week before the announcement about Khazaniuk's reprimand,
it was announced that captain Lior Mor will be replaced by Amos Mansdof.
They made sure to say the reason was that Mor is very busy, and they were actually very happy with his performance, but it seems to me it's also related to what happened.
The future of the trainer Tomer Dank, who also starred in Khazaniuk's tell-all is said to be unknown as of yet.

And it rings true in respect to Israelis in general.

It certainly would explain the "happy talk" tweets by Shahar and Julia shortly after significant losses in their careers. I'm not ready to "throw them under the bus" based on Deniz's interview but there is no denying the lack of intensity and effort in reaction to their results over the last 6 months. Shahar has made a good living playing tennis and you can envision her resting on her past achievements, but Julia is still struggling to make it on the tour and her behavior is more puzzling.
