I'm glad they gave her the extra day until Tuesday. I think eventually she should be a contender at this major.
But after that fall, I just want a win and health tomorrow

But tbh from what I've seen from both on this surface recently, I think Marketa will beat Dasha
She is able of the worst when it is a big tournament even this.

It's hard to have an opinion for Dashka, the conditions in Madrid and Stuttgart have nothing to do with RG and at Rome it seemed pretty correct before she gets injured.

I will continue to be stubborn but when she starts playing, there are few players who are able to beat DashKa on clay.
I have no doubt about the level and talent of Maky but I persist when DashKa plays on clay, the result is in her hands.

The only thing I'm sure : I hate this draw.

GL to Dasha against Yanina!

Third round points to defend.

Yes, she is ok and will be fit and ready for the French Open. The Empire Tennis Academy have just said that on their facebook page.

It's indeed Anastasia Nikolaevna Romanova, the youngest daughter of the last Russian Emperor. Yeah, they look very similar, and maybe there really is some distant relational connection between them.

But whether they are related or not, I am anyway sure that Darya I. will go down as the Russian Queen of tennis.

I would like to see a little more from her at the net, but it seems so rare to see any youngster at the net these days.
That's what I got that impression in Biel. But well, we'll see. Vondrousova does not belong to my favorite talents at all. But I just do not like strong and hard playing style in women in tennis.

Personally I love what I have have seen from her at only 17 years old. I know its early in her career, but it would not surprise me to see her as one of the elite in womens tennis in a few years. Health permitting, both girls should have very good careers.

With Marketa's current form, Dasha's ankle will need to be 100% to defend her points here. Dasha's path to the third round originally looked fairly easy, now suddenly looks difficult with Marketa filling the qualifier spot.
Good luck to both girls and hopefully we will see this match happen.

But let's first see how Dasha's ankle is going to last.

Yeah, with Maky as a potential R2 opponent, Dasha's draw has worsened a lot.

Dasha's draw now is as follows:

(14)Vesnina v Haddad Maia
Lepchenko v Petkovic
Cirstea v Peng
Sakkari v (21)Suarez Navarro
(26)Kasatkina v Wickmayer
Vondroušová v (wc)Hesse
Duan v Maria
Cepelova v (3)Halep
