He was a bad ass and amazing the first season he was in, then the next season they tried to give him a personal story line and I don't think it's ever recovered. The whole story line of him getting demoted and in the little office is just dumb, the old Eli would have outmaneuvered the other gal or moved on. The little scenes of him listening in through the vent on a chair are just awful. The gal who plays his daughter is great, but he's even bad in those scenes. I feel like like his character is past his prime and will never win a slam.

I don't know, other than "outting" that character for the audience

This Season is so meh. They totally ruined the show with the Kalinda/Alicia childish situation.

I don't understand why Howard Lyman is suddenly a lead character this Season. Like, does anyone care about him???

At least the new investigator is interesting and they finally found something useful to do with Grace.

He reminds me of David Caruso leaving NYPD Blue. Can't say I am sorry though
I understand people in the arts wanting to "spread their wings" so to speak. But it's amazing how many people who are/were on successful TV series thought they were going to go on to become big movie stars. And they make a couple of flops and wind up back on the telly.

Caruso left and made a couple of movies and wound up on CSI: Miami.

Patrick Duffy thought he was going to parlay his Dallas role into a movie starring career. Didn't happen. Dallas had to come up with that shower scene where Victoria Principal dreamed the entire previous season so that Duffy could come back to the gravy train. The best thing about that scene was that it set up the great ending for Newhart.

And of course Taraji Henson left Person of Interest to be a movie star and made that mess with Idris Elba which went to DVD in about a week and a half and now she's back on TV with Empire.

Folks better learn to ride that TV gravy train to the end of the line. The Will Smiths are few and far between.

Re: The Good Wife

I'm catching up on the series on my Amazon Prime. I'm way back in season 3 where they are still making fun of Anthony Wiener A.K.A. Carlos Danger.

I love the scene where Eli curses the day that politicians found out about Twitter.

Re: The Good Wife

Blah! Although the season was great. That scene was pretty silly between the two, obviously not shot at the same time.

Michael J, Fox is really good in this role, would love to see him and Alicia destroy the other firm. Diane has turned into a stooge and that red outfit was awful.
