She was the 7th seed, fell to Croatian 2nd seed Noa Krznaric 3 & 3 in the final

Congrats to Kylie McKenzie (1999) on winning G1 Eddie Herr yesterday!

Unseeded, she beat Ioana Minca 3 & 4 in R1, Sofia Sewing 2 & 4 in R2, (Q)Hanna Chang 4-6 7-5 7-5 in R3, Oana Gavrila 2 & 0 in QF, top seed Dalma Galfi (junior #3, CHR 1; WTA 330) 4 & 3 in SF, and 5th seed Tamara Zidansek (junior CHR of 17, WTA 289) 3-6 6-3 6-4 in the final

She took nicely advantage of her section's completely falling apart in the earlier stage of the tournament, but the wins over Galfi and Zidansek just are excellent!

The 1999-2001 US girls have been posting impressive results in the last few months

That's her 1st title this year, as she lost 2 USTA U14 tournaments finals earlier this year - and her 1st U18 singles title obviously. Actually it was her 3rd G18 ever only, as she started only playing them last month... I had already noticed her name as she had reached the SFs of a G4 in Taipei at her previous tournament. Last year she still was playing G12s...

Naomi won G5 Panama Bowl last week!

She was the 8th seed, and she beat Fiorella Isabel Bolona Medina 3 & 4 in R1, Jolene Coetzee 4 & 3 in R2, (Q)Jada Bui (who upset top seed Lukyanova in R2) 7-5 6-2 in QF, 6th seed Laura Lissette Quezada Martinez 1 & 3 in SF, and 3rd seed Daniela Obando (#558) 7-6(6) 6-7(4) 6-1 in the final

Collette Lewis on zootennis has her name bolded as one of the Americans left in the draw so maybe she knows also?

Unless this is a forgotten typo...

I was really impressed with Kayla when I saw her play live at the Junior Fed Cup finals. I think she has a nice, aggressive game. If you look at where she was a year ago, I think she's made really big strides. Hope to see her continue to develop in the right direction!

Kayla
Second G1 title of the year. That win should propel her to top 10 junior, I would think?

She's in the tough section of the draw at Eddie Herr

(12)Ingrid Neel (USA) v (Q)Nidhi Surapaneni (IND)
(LL)Brindtha Ramasamy (CAN) v Claire Liu (USA)
Lamis Alhussein Abdel Aziz (EGY) v (16E)Ryan Peus (USA)

Congrats to Kayla Day (1999) on winning G1 Copa Yucatan yesterday, without dropping a single set!

She was the 5th seed there, and she beat (Q)Alejandra Tamayo Gomez 1 & 1 in R1, Lamis Alhussein Abdel Aziz 6-3 7-5 in R2, Taylor Johnson 2 & 4 in R3, (13)Maria Mateas 6-2 7-5 in QF, (2)Usue Arconada (#7, CHR 5, WTA 447) 2 & 3 in SF, and (4)Bianca Andreescu (#21, WTA 640) 7-5 6-3 in the final.

Very dominant performance this week

The 2000 born Townsend twins Katya & Camille have had a good last couple weeks in Argentina

Katya won G5 El Ceibo Cup last week! She was the 4th seed, took out 2nd seed Melanie Dveksler Celin 4 & 4 in SF, and 7th seed Anfisa Danilchenko (2001) 6-2 2-6 6-3 in the final

The win over Danilchenko is a nice one for her, revenge from her losing to her in SF of G5 Copa Rio de la Plata the week before, 0-6 6-7(0).

As for Camille, she made the SFs both weeks. She lost to Dveksler Celin 7-6(3) 5-7 0-6 in SF the first week, and to Danilchenko 1 & 1 last week.

The girls won the dubs title together in both tournies

Congrats to Kayla Day (who turned 16 a couple weeks ago) on winning G1 Jerry Simmons Pan American Closed ITF Championships this week!

She was the 2nd seed, and she beat Nicole Lynn Anderson 0 & 3 in R1, Isabelle Boulais 0 & 1 in R2, (14)Carson Branstine 0 & 2 in R3, (6)Kylie McKenzie (1999) 2 & 3 in QF, Abigail Desiatnikov (2001) 4-6 6-3 7-6(3) in SF, and (9)Kelly Chen (1999) 4 & 1 in the final!

Ellie Douglas (2000), who won the G4 in Wichita last week, got stopped by top seed Usue Arconada, 2 & 3 in R2 - Usue flopped to qualifier Ashley Lahey (1999), who was in the SFs in Wichita (lost in 3 sets to top seed Sofia Sewing in SF) in the next round though, 3 & 4.

Sofia Sewing (1999), who lost 6-7(5) 3-6 to 14th seeded Ellie in the Wichita final, lost 6-7(4) 6-2 5-7 to Helen Abigail Altick in R3 this week.

And congrats to Kacie Harvey (2001) on winning G5 Copa Mangu in Dominican Republic last week as well.

She was the 10th seed there, beat unseeded fellow 2001 US girl Peyton Stearns 3 & 3 in the final!

Congrats to Ellie Douglas (2000), who I remember won that epic U12 Eddie Herr final against Anastasia Potapova back in 2012, on winning G5 Austin ITF last week!

She was the 3rd seed, beat unseeded Nadia Gizdova (1998) in the final, 3-6 6-1 6-2.

Nadia also made the final of G5 Copa Coqui as a qualifier the week before in Puerto Rico. She was stopped by top seed Nandini Nas in the final, 2-6 5-7.
