Re: Polish tournaments (national and international) thread

MDWC for 25k Zawada have been handed out to Grajdek (#771), Cvorovic (unranked), Silka (unranked but young Pole at least) and Stepan (unranked) This tournament is really a mess when it comes to help for local players. Even Jegiolka who comes from a city near Opole has been forced to play qualies for years. At least Chwalinska got a QWC...

Aga in Katowice MD list, Magda and Ula in Q list.
No Kania and Piter, they are both going to play in Charleston instead

One MDWC has been awarded to Magdalena Frech already. Some others still to be announced.

Re: Polish tournaments (national and international) thread

Good news! Actually three Polish 10k's are already officially planned for the upcoming months:
- 10k Puszczykowo (Kerber's city) the week of May 4
- 10k Zielona Gora is returning the week after (May 11)
- 10k Szczawno-Zdroj will take place the week of May 18.

So three 10k's on three consecutive weeks, that's good

Any news about Sobota ITF tournament? Didn't they want to make it bigger?

Usually 1 of the 4 WCs goes to a Pole. Then indeed, the 3 others are given to completely unknown but loaded players...

Actually not so many Poles have entered this year... Zaniewska, Kawa, Siedliska (no surprise here ), Lewandowska have all withdrawn. Only some young players remaining, such as Kowalska and Czarnik.

Re: Polish tournaments (national and international) thread

^^ TOP Polish girl is Jegiołka. We'll see how about WCs.. maybe some Poles will decide to start in the last moment to improve their rankings (talkin about our top200 girls). Highlights from Entry lists are the girls on their top form: Smitkova, Witthoeft, Dodin and Brianti (however I doubt the first one will play actually). Also Kostova, Pfizenmaier are worth mentioning.

Re: Polish tournaments (national and international) thread

ITF Zawada players' list is out. There's no top Poles. I think Kasia Piter should start here. Top polish girl is Sandra Zaniewska...
