That's what he wanted attention and sympathy to be able to continue competing... (get the lifetime ban overturned somehow).

He has no sympathy from me whatsoever. He's ruined people's lives when they tried to out him!

Well, problem is that they all have PED issues of their own.

My main problem isn't the drugs it's his brutally he went after those who told he truth. Rather than just deny allegations he was suing left right and centre, he lived in some deluded fantasy world.

Wait till tennis has a drug scandal, do people seriously believe Sesil, Odesnik and Pous Tio are the biggest names to have previously doped.

He's an arsewipe, he has tarnished everything he stood for and everything he was, knowingly lied and falsified information, and then expect some form of mercy because he airs out his dirty laundry for the world to see,

Not only is he manipulative, arrogant and a fraud, he's a nasty piece of work too other competitors and has placed the sport of cycling under a ominous cloud even more than what is considered.

The world can do without people like Lance. I have no sympathy for a fraud.

Not sure how Tiger Woods' sex life made it onto this thread, or what it's got to do with anything. The fact that he couldn't keep his dick in his pants might not make him the nicest guy in the world, but really that's all between him, his spouse and probably his sponsors. It has nothing to do with sport.

What Lance Armstrong did really matters, not just for cycling, but for sports in general. He cheated and lied throughout his career, and despite his confession continues to cheat, lie and attempt to manipulate people to this day. The whole confession was intended as manipulation. If he’s allowed to get away with that we’ll not only be no better off than before, we’ll be worse off, and we can expect variations on this same sorry theme to keep on repeating themselves again and again and again. The guy needs to be crucified.

D-Listed says Tiger is trying to get Elin back, proposing and offering $350 million if he cheats in the new marriage. That's one smart lady.

I'm so sick of the "all the things he did for cancer" defense. He started the Lance Armstrong Foundation / Livestrong for two uncharitable purposes: 1) to cut himself a paycheck and 2) as a PR shield.

The second part was obvious if you've listened to his denials for the past 12 years. There's always a part in there about his critics undermining his cancer charity work.

I found out the first part during all the information that's been unearthed this past year. Guys, Livestrong was paying Lance Armstrong appearance fees to show up at events!!!

And the money went to "cancer awareness", and not "cancer research."

...except the money that went to the Livestrong lobbyist who went to the Capitol and had talks with politicians to try to get them to stop various investigations/litigations going on against Armstrong personally. That didn't have anything to do with cancer awareness or cancer research... unless you think of LA as being a cancer himself.

A lot of his supporters are still there, saying he was the best on a level-playing field of cheaters, and he still raised awareness for cancer research.

They did.

And yes, that was pretty hilarious. Along with the whole wife going after Tiger with a golf stick bit.

Tiger being a serial cheater was twice as hilarious because his lineup of affairs looked hand picked from a local trailer park. Well, that's how I remember it anyway. Maybe they didn't, but please don't ruin this one for me.
