Re: Tara Moore

T lost 5 in the third.

I visualised the end of the 1st set (won 8-6 in TB by Vekic) in my imagination. Standard wasn't great and Vekic's attitude was worse. Tara should have taken the first set.

Really nice win!

Her next opponent is Vekic! Hopefully Tara will feel confident having won their previous two encounters this year although Donna's form has improved since then.

Defeating Dani is a really good win, even if she is probably close to retirement.

However, Lil leftie Pliskova.. I would not want to play her indoors, especially at Luxembourg. Trying to return her serve is going to be a nightmare. Plus, being a leftie, she can easily attack Tara's weaker backhand side, so is going to be really tough....

Tara tweeted a link to this article with some quite interesting biographical details: Coming back for Moore: Born and bred here, Tara Moore to compete at the Hong Kong Open | South China Morning Post

Quote:
Although Hong Kong missed out on a top player, local fans will see the 24-year-old Moore in action for the first time when she takes part in next month’s Prudential Hong Kong Tennis Open at Victoria Park, alongside world number one Angelique Kerber, Venus Williams and Caroline Wozniacki.
Apart from the small number of men and smaller number of dogs who've seen her play ITFs, that is.

Re: Tara Moore

Tara reentered the lists at the USO qualies. Won her first three sets before running out of puff and falling to Lottner in QR2.
