We just got to be patient. After all, it was a serious attack. I don't care how long it takes, I just want her back healthy

Re: Petra Kvitova News and Articles

hey, just thought i'd spread some more love for Petra here... her absense makes me appreciate her even more, she was always a player worth following, even through the bad times... the first player i could truly say was my favourite player, she always will be.

Right now i will be happy to see her just holding a racket, back on tour doing what she loves, regardless of wether she returns to her best or not.

As you can see by my faves, the tour sucks right noah for me, barely even worth watching.

Nobody wants Petra healthy, happy and back on court with success more than me, but as for timeframe, it takes what it takes.

But it's nice to Czech in on her one in a while, read a tweet or a report, see how she's going.

I was wrong - Petra already has the bandage off, and is already picking up stuff.

And Paul was right - right to be expecting some news.

Oh, and we're down to 23 days on the countdown clock. Mark that date guys - 23rd March - something Petra-related will happen.

So mote it be.

I think your Czech source is more accurate.

I wouldn't panic about anything until much further through the rehab. As Jimmie says, rehab takes time and patience. Results will come, but they won't be fast, they will be gradual.

From the very beginning when I talked to my physio, he told me that that kind of hand injury can be recovered from but it takes time. I expected the whole year to be rehab, hitting towards the last part of the year. I expect her to have to rebuild the ability to control her hand and fingers. 6 months to reach an ok level, 9 months to the whole year to reach the level she needs for pro tennis.

The most important thing for her is determination and perseverance and the will to return to tennis. So long as she has that she will be back to pro tennis, either in late 2017 or next year, I believe.

Re: Petra Kvitova News and Articles

Ominous reading today, respecting Petra. If Petra is unable to make a fist, let alone effectively grip a racquet then her tennis career has essentially been preempted. Tears from her dad, one of her managers stating that her injury is not a little bit damaged and Petra herself not tweeting at all doesn't bode well for a promising future concerning her return. She and Vika are the players I'm patiently waiting for a return to this Tour and not having them at the moment is a major loss to such, Petra even more so. Keeping "hope" alive, tho' it doesn't look promising at the moment.

I'm still finding it hard to believe that this happened to our Petra

I know it's a boring answer but I wouldn't expect any news at this stage, good or bad. Rehab takes time and patience.

There is no update on her social media for so many weeks now. I don't know what's going on.

My info is just the exact opposite one, but nobody can actually knows that now, since we will only be able to judge something between May and June. Cernosek surely wants to create such kind of situation (if Petra failed to come back successfully) that would allow him to say: "I told it".
