Re: Irina Khromacheva Thread

Lost in straight sets to Chirico. Hopefully Ira will get better Wimbledon Q draw

Re: Irina Khromacheva Thread

I disagree. She's definitely has the form to beat Louisa, and Louisa had a hard three-set battle against Hlavackova. Still, Chirico's had an outstanding claycourt season - that's why she will be hard to beat. Gluck to Irina

Re: Irina Khromacheva Thread

Glad Ira won 2 Q matches. Too bad she drew 1st seed. She's not in a form to beat Chirico. I hope I'm wrong, though.

Unfortunately they did not put the girls on a show-court, but it looks like only the first set was tough one!

Re: Irina Khromacheva Thread

Zhaoxuan again played her tough, but Irina ultimately won, 64 36 63

Amra Sadikovic, who had a decent claycourt season, is next.

First, congrats to Irina for returning back to the French Open qualies for the first time in three years!

She plays Zhaoxuan Yang first, who she beat in the first round of St. Gaudens last week. Gluck to her!

Nice to see her make those improvements. I guess it's better late than never.

Win I last looked at the score she was 0-30 down on her serve in the first game of the third set. Thought when I saw your post, she'd lost. Glad I was wrong!

Congrats to Irina on her first 50K title, which will get her to a new career high of #133!

Defeated Sakkari 1-6 7-6(3) 6-1 to win a first >25k title. Has clearly changed her career around starting at the end of the last year.

Re: Irina Khromacheva Thread

She retired at 6-0 5-7 1-2 against qualifier Gabriella Taylor in QF today (and she and Ksenia Lykina then gave a WO in their dubs SF match)

Hopefully it's not too serious
