Re: Caroline Garcia

Agatha can't generate much pace on her own, and it will be even worse on this muck, so Caroline should be able to keep herself in rallies easily. Serve & return dynamics I don't know how they will work; Caroline's kamikaze ROS might have been useful for once, but I suspect Agatha will just focus on getting like 75% or more 1st serves in.

Still, RG isn't a priority for Agatha, so she may punk out if she's being outplayed by what she feels is an unsurmountable margin. Or she may stick around waiting for Caroline to choke.

Caroline in 3, with one of the sets being a complete blowout one way or another.

Re: Caroline Garcia

It could very well be. If Caro gets a big win here then it really could inspire her to go further in the competition, and if she has a good result at the French then all of a sudden she might start believing in herself.

You can do it Caroline. Allez!!!!

I have a clear feeling that this could be the match that’s going to define Caroline's career.

If she uses the energy of the crowd in a positive way and plays smart aggressive tennis, she'll have a decent chance to win this match.

I am sure Radwanska is not happy that she has to play Caro in R2.

Re: Caroline Garcia

Caro always manages to almost give me heart attack, but i am so happy for her that she got a big win here.

Impressed with how she managed to recover from that second set blip to turn it around and claim a straight sets win. She goes into the match against Aga with less pressure, so hopefully she can find her best game.

Allez Caro!!!

Re: Caroline Garcia

tough 2nd set, she always has a moment when she lose a bit "the plot", made many ues

happy she managed to make such a comeback, from 0-4, then 2-5

she has to keep fighting the way she does, playing point by point especially against radwanska

didnt watch her match, but very impressive scoreline, she'll be ready for caroline

it's up for caro to stay strong and agressive to "destroy "the polish wall

just happy right now

Caroline def. Tsurenko 63 75

Great comeback from Caro in the second set after being 0-4* down

It seems the win in Strasbourg has helped her mentally. Additionally I noticed that she played some great defense today and was constructing points better than in the past.

Keep it up, Caro !!

Re: Caroline Garcia

Congrats to Caroline and her fans! I have been more or less following her career for 2 years now and it's great to see her with that trophy. Huge talent, she has everything, it just needs to happen and it will for sure. Congrats once more.

CARO!!!!!! (I literally screamed when she won.) Luckily i caught the final set at work during my lunch, i was so happy for her. This could be huge for her confidence!!

This match went a lot easier than expected, but she had me worried at the end of the first. Thank god she closed that set out or we might be saying completely different things.

If by any chance Caroline reads... See, you can do it in France!!! Now go and take Roland Garros by storm like we all know you can. Believe in yourself like we believe you can do it!!

Re: Caroline Garcia

she looks soo happy

with that win she's back to top40 too.

it is great how things can change, caroline didnt have good memories in strasbourg but she managed this year to win that tournament and today she just LOVE this event

she has also bad memories of Roland Garros BUT nothing is set forever in Time, she must stay positive and keep fighting like she did there, the french crowd can push her so far if she can "connect" with them, it is such a powerful thing she has being a french playing RG. She has to take advantage of this "strong card".

her dad was right when she asked for him at 5-4 in 1st set, just stay in the present, not think about the score, the opponent, just keep playing point by point, be determined, focus on her tactic, game, what she did

she must be playing her 1st round on tuesday ...
just believe in herself and keep fighting hard
