Let's hope Heather can reverse the disappointing run of first round defeats against Wickmayer.

Re: Heather's Cheering Thread

Heather won't be playing in the main draw of Beijing either as she lost to Nicole Gibbs 7-6,4-6,4-6 in the 1st round of qualifying.

Re: Heather's Cheering Thread

Wuhan ticked off in the second round of qualifying, losing to WR 88. I so want Heather to do well but her results since Wimbledon have been awful. Something needs to change.

Re: Heather's Cheering Thread

Well she's earned $442,000 so far this year so perhaps it doesn't matter. I wonder if her coach has travelled with her?

Re: Heather's Cheering Thread

6-3, 0-6, 6-1 What kind of stupid scoreline is that?

I can't remember the last time she had a decent second half to a season (maybe 2012 when she won Osaka?) Surely it's not a coincidence. It's like she has a mid-season burn out after Wimbledon pretty much every year

I can't believe she lost that.. With a bagel in the second set too.. I guess we are in for another slump..

Re: Heather's Cheering Thread

Heather was really awful in the first set of the doubles but improved a little in the second set.

Heather and Henry lost in the mixed doubles so that's it for this year.
