Totally agree. Serbia was horrible in the Mixed Doubles and Venus would have taken out Ana.

Punk ass little bitch (Isner) better lose 1st round at Sydney.

Venus has made our nerves strong over the years. She has taught us that because she is great one day don't expect it the next match

She also has that extra week to get to the practice courts and get used to the courts etc. Yes the third round will be tough for sure. However I think Venus has done everything she could, to get match tough, and get as many matches as possible. Venus plays her best tennis when she is backed into a corner, she will know she has to be prepared for the third round. It will probably be a night match, so at least she won't be playing in peak heat etc. For me personally I want to see Venus play the top 10 players, as that is where she belongs, every match for her will give her confidence a major boost. If anyone can do it, its Venus. She is in a much better place than she was last year, fitness, match toughness and mentality have all improved. Just take each match at a time.
Yes, because last year she kept losing only to players in the top 10 (Except Vesnina in Wimbledon where she was just plain and dreadful). My only concern is that there can still be random, powerful sjogren's days so she has to hope that she's playing against someone mentally weak. If she has to lose, I want her to go down because someone played better NOT because she was tired and spraying balls.

Unless Niculescu junks Zakopalova to death, I don't see Pavlyuchenkova losing to a lucky loser but hey, there's still hope.

Glad to hear she played well against AMG.

Venus played good. Stats were pretty decent too minus the serve.

Instead she bothers with these damn exhos and jeopardizes a chance at a serious 2nd week run at the AO. We can always pray she draws Errani third round

Glad she could win in 2 sets this time . She'll have a week off before the open? Not too worried then .

I'm inclined to give Isner a break. Not his fault he was injured .

I hope Vee is alright, i know the match didn't mean anything, but Vee wasn't moving for 95% of the match.

I'm glad V didn't lose any of her matches, it's a shame V isn't in the final. Looking forward to V at AO
