Also, she's playing Istanbul 25K the week after! I was sifting through the entry lists and had a pleasant surprise seeing her there. Then the week after, she's down for indian harbour beach, and 80K (formerly 75K in old system) qualies.

Hope she plays them all!
Let's hope shes' handing out bakery products and not receiving them.

Yes,she was very nice. I asked her how was the match. She said,it was okay, but not good enough and I think it could be better. and I told her,we know it is hard time, but I believe in you.
and she seemed moved a lil bit and asked me if I will come back tomorrow, then I decided to extend one day in Shenzhen.

I think she lost the power of her forehand a lil bit, maybe because the court was fast and she didn't have enough time to hit the ball in her way. there was a vouluteer stood beside me,judged laura like: She seems tall and strong, but her opponent, that japanese girl hit the ball harder than her. It was what I concerned as well. But positively, I think her serve has improved a lot. both 1st serve and 2nd serve, maybe it is what Didi brought?
That's really sweet. good on you, must have been really nice for her.

I hope the Laura/Didi partnership works out... It may just take some time to see any results. From your description and some other instances, it sounds like Laura is really impatient and just want to be back in the top 100 straight away. I hope she goes back to the US, she seems to play her best over there.

Thank you for the match report. I hope you enjoyed getting to see her regardless of the result.

This confirms a lot of what we've been thinking. Didi's got a lot of work on his hands. If she's not being receptive to encouragement then it's tricky. Like I said before, this Asian trip didn't seem to be the best. She enjoyed the food in Japan and that was about it.

Her sports psychologist needs to be getting her into a more positive mindset. The negativity is making her wrongly question good calls and just go into a downwards spiral.
