Re: Pac 12

She probably had to sit out for a year (most likely academic issues according to what I heard). If a coach doesn't grant a release or if there is another issue, the athlete sits out a year (Amanda Craddock did I think from GT to Texas. Also, Noelle Hickey had academic issues so she did some classes back home for fall semester when transferring to UCLA from GT). Expect her to be on a team this Fall. I know she was training with Taylor Townsend and Zina Garrison pre-French Open.

I agree, someone will be very lucky if she returns to college tennis.

Speaking of Sabs, does anybody know how she is doing with her rehab and recovery?

She tweeted that she's going to Finland in July, seems like she plans to be more mobile by then, but how much?

Congrats to Davidson though!

Not that it matters, but thanks to you, I think we're posting in the wrong Pac-12 thread...

Re: Pac 12

Amazing how many tennis players make life altering sacrifices at such a young age.
You expect it for the top elite players, but many others, even those playing at #5 and #6 have made similar sacrifices, but you just don't hear about it everyday...

Ahn and Zhao are Stanford's two best players.

They got Ahn right, but short changed Zhao, not to take anything away from Davidson.

Although Doyle had 30+ wins, she benefited from playing at #6 and playing the less competitive tournaments.

I say Zhao wins Rookie of the Year, Doyle wins Player to Watch, and Davidson wins one of the Sportsmanship awards, Tsay wins the other Sportsmanship award, and in two years, Hardebeck wins most improved Senior player.
