Re: Caroline Garcia

caro def konta 6-4 2-1 ret.

well it was not very good, especially on serve but it was enough today

she better rise her level cause against radwanska/cibulkova she wont pass with such a game. Her return of serve must be improved. Always hitting crosscourt BH there's no surprise there and saw stuttgart match siegmund/radwanska, the german made radwanska get crazy, winning so many points with BH DTL

better come to the net too

She lost to Friedsam (not Siegemund) who has not played particularly well since the Australian Open.

It's certainly not an easy draw, but I don't consider Konta a natural clay court player. So if Caro gets her head together, she has a decent chance.

Re: Caroline Garcia

saw her double match against carokiki at stuttgart 1st round, she doesnt seem that "comfortable" on clay but well she made slam SF, something caro didnt so everything can happen in this match

will have to serve well and hit the right targets, konta stay far behind so make her come to the net (dropshot), make her move

tough draw for sure but well that's madrid

Re: Caroline Garcia

Thanks

I am not surprised she is quite shy. I am glad you asked the social media question as i was eager to hear what she had to say about it.

Shame though because now she will use it less and i don't know about you guys, but i really enjoy her posts. I find her funny

she is quiet, that's for sure, but maybe because she was close to Kiki, who's a volcano, she opened up rather soon. I would say she has some sense of humour too, but she seems rather shy. Thus said, she talks a lot, nonetheless, so a good interviewee

good luck in Madrid

amelie would be a great coach for her but she has MURRAY. Urpi would suit her perfectly imo but she wont agree AS USUAL
Are we gonna be happy with a QF match at the Open? Even more so, a match she should've won 15 time at least ? Come on. Both Caroline and Kristina have the game to be consistent Top 10 players but well, French Federation is more into corruption and how to save Gachassin's ass from courts, rather than giving a slap on the wrist to these girls as a wake up call, and providing them with the adequate structure, and make them realize they need that structure.

Re: Caroline Garcia

Thank you

well I know caro and kiki in their "young" career think fed cup is a competition that means BIG, but girls you have to realize that even when Amélie won Wimbledon, the legends garden, yes WIMBLEDON as world n°1 beating Justine Henin in finale, she did not make the cover of l'EQUIPE! Football will ALWAYS be n°1, no matter what. That sucks but that's the way it is.

the fact they care soooo much about what people say of them is a bad thing imo, fed cup is very fun competition, but it never equilize SLAMS or OLYMPICS!

go win a slam and then you 'll have the right to complain, if not, take that "rage" and turn it into something positive to give the best in Majors!

time to step up big and I dont see her doing that with her dad!
Yeah but thing is, for instance, when she plays under Amélie's direction, she plays so good, her form in Fed Cup is quite good, she can construct a point, then back to WTA and well... Out of Top 50, I could never imagine Garcia falling so low and letting unable-to-win-a-match-but-big-mouthy Mladenovic be the Numéro 1 française...
