Ugh I spoke too soon, I'm breaking them more often now. I'm playing more too. I'm trying natural gut in mains/luxilon in crosses hybrid (55/50) and am loving it. I have another racquet with slightly bigger headsize and I use the same set up but tighter tension.

Arm-friendly poly? Sorry, that's an oxymoron. There is no such thing. If you are having wrist issues, then you should stick to multifilament. Just invest in a cheap stringing machine and replace the string when it becomes too loose or breaks.

Re: String Tension: Are you loose or tight?

Do you guys have any experience with loosely strung polyester strings? I only play multifilaments because of wrists problems and I string them pretty loose around 42 lbs but after some time they give me trampoline effect and very little topspin. I'm thinking now about arm-friendly polyester. Could you recommend anything? I hit pretty hard and flat, if that's of any importance.

When I did it too tight, I lost my ability to really feel and place the ball especially like in lobs. But yeah you don't want that either especially if you're a big hitter.

I don't play that often. But at least once a week. I'm trying to play more. I should really enter comps. But I always feel inadequate about my game. I'm a perfectionist. I have a friend who used to be a coach so I'm trying to get better by playing with him and others first. But I will get to it eventually. I think I hit hard too so it'll be interesting once I start playing a lot more. Thanks for the advice.

Yes, they are relatively expensive but synthetic gut and other alternatives are almost the same so I figured why bother? I think I saw that Technifibre one too and I think they recommended that to me as well but I'm keen to just keep hitting with natural gut. I like the feel.

That's pretty tight for a poly, isn't it?

Oh, you're very loose.

Mine are fairly tight, I make my own power. Can't remember the exact amount though.
