I'd love to see that, too. She badly needs matches -- any matches, all matches. Start to build her confidence back up. Sure hope she won't w/d from RSF ...

Re: Melanie Oudin

Looks like Mel isn't ready just yet. She withdrew from Surprise, however, she is still entered in Rancho Santa Fe. Hopefully she'll be back soon.

Re: Melanie Oudin

Melanie hosted a Q&A session on twitter this morning and gave us some good insights.

She said that she is back training in Atlanta and is coached by Attila Azucki. She also said that she is finally feeling healthy and ready to play a full year. She'll start in lower level challengers, so I guess Surprise will be her first tournament.

She also had a sweet exchange with Jovana Jaksic. It looks like they'll be teaming up in doubles.

Mel entered the 25k in Surprise, AZ, the week of Feb 15.

Hopefully she'll be ready.

Re: Melanie Oudin

She withdrew. Disappointing that we'll have to wait a bit longer, but she needs to comeback when she is completely ready.

Re: Melanie Oudin

Midland usually gets a lot of last minute withdrawals. It might be good for Mel to play qualifying anyways to get some match play. Looking forward to seeing her back. Here's hoping she'll spend the rest of 2016 healthy and getting back on track!

Re: Melanie Oudin

It looks like Midland is where Mel is set to begin her comeback! She currently is on the alternates list, but she should get a wildcard if she doesn't get in due to withdraws.

Over the break, Mel indicated on social media that she won't be going to Australia. She feels she hasn't had enough practice time after recovering from the hand injury. So, staying closer to home. Hopefully she'll get some momentum going in the ITFs.

Re: Melanie Oudin

Don't know, but with her ranking in the lower 300s, staying home and playing ITFs seems more likely
