The 10 minutes of video highlights of Petra's match with Kate is the longest of her video experience in Rio, 2016 I've seen.

Petra's own website has just one video of her Olympic experience, but it's just a 4 min. video of an interview she had with a Czech gent as they walk along a beach after getting a refreshment from a local stand. No tennis highlights.....

Lastly, there is a website for the Olympics (Olympic.Org) that has the event going back decades. All videos of events on tape are just brief highlights, nothing extensive. So, unless otherwise indicated, it appears you won't find success for lengthy videos of her matches in Rio.

I know. But it sucks. I am just hoping that someone recorded the match/highlights and could share it. I absolutely loved her match against Wozniacki and didn;t get to watch her match against keys. Dying to see them.

There are so many highlights/full match videos of 2012 Olympics on youtube though.

Thanks for those little videos anyway

I just saw they put up a giant poster at Indian Wells for people to sign. I teared up a little. From what I've seen, Petra has such strength, it truly amazes me.

@cosmoose @pov @Excelscior

While her peak serve speed (which is what the twitter link showed) has dropped from Roland Garros 2011 to RG 2016, the average speed looks less different (so I guess her serve speeds are more consistent now?), while the % won is quite close.

Average 1st serve speed:

RG 2011 - Arn/Zheng/King/Li: 166/155/156/167
RG 2016 - Kovinic/Hsieh/Rogers: 161/159/157

Average 2nd serve speed:

RG 2011 - Arn/Zheng/King/Li: 144/138/143/145
RG 2016 - Kovinic/Hsieh/Rogers: 144/144/144

1st serve won %:

RG 2011 - Arn/Zheng/King/Li: 77/70/56/58
RG 2016 - Kovinic/Hsieh/Rogers: 71/76/56

2nd serve won %:

RG 2011 - Arn/Zheng/King/Li: 48/47/55/46
RG 2016 - Kovinic/Hsieh/Rogers: 44/57/40

Data from Matchstat for 2011 and the Roland Garros site for 2016.

Sure. But the crazy thing if you analyze Petra: She has both consistent, and inconsistent patterns of situational futility (and you guys know what I mean). I.e.: She keeps finding different ways to lose (along with the well known, established patterns). LOL

So sometimes, it appears hard to pinpoint. I wonder if the situational stats (you mention) would render the same conclusion of our frustrated memories?...

Considering the mess Petra's been the past few years in so many areas. Is it even worth the deep thought to try to pin point why her averaged serve speeds declined the past several years?

Re: Random Posts/miscellaneous/anything Petra :)

Since, lovely Petra's had the commitment of a Part Time Tennis Player since 2013 (where do we start/when does it end). It's only fair (for those that choose to go that route), that her "fans" become part time observers/fans as well.

Makes sense!?...This is especially true, when you consider the unrelenting shock/heartache/frustration/disappointment, etc., factor you mentioned!!??

It's bad enough Petra plays when ever she feels like it (and whatever silly excuses she can come up with). In addition, she's had arguably the worst team (for sure), and preparation regimen of any top 10 player in a loooooong time!?

So those are the results, despite the blinding talent. It is what it is!
