Re: Risa Ozaki cheering thread!

If anybody was wondering, Risa fractured her right wrist against Bouchard in Indian Wells.

Explains why she's been MIA for so long. A shame since she was playing so well...

Hope she comes back soon.

Re: Risa Ozaki cheering thread!

Lost in her 2nd straight $25K final in Hong Kong.
Rarely seems to play well in finals - AO WC playoffs in 2013 being the prime example.

At least she's starting to play a smarter schedule...

Re: Risa Ozaki cheering thread!

Pulled out of Poitiers.

Scheduled to play Hua Hin, Taipei then Toyota next.

She has a lot to defend the rest of the year...

Re: Risa Ozaki cheering thread!

Lost to Stosur in straight sets.

Not sure if she's entered Luxembourg/Moscow, but she's scheduled to play $100K Poitiers, where she'll have to play qualies. Another example of her random scheduling this year.

Re: Risa Ozaki cheering thread!

Well the draw has changed with Muguruza pulling out, Risa now faces Stosur in R1. Hope it's a good experience for her.

Re: Risa Ozaki cheering thread!

Risa will play Venus in R1 of Hong Kong Of course she probably wanted an easy draw, but I hope she appreciates the opportunity to face a legend.

Pulled out of Tashkent qualies

No idea where she's playing next. I don't believe she's entered any more tourneys at this stage...

Tough match ahead against Konjuh in Tokyo Q3. It's good to see her consistently winning matches.

Re: Risa Ozaki cheering thread!

Lost to Pereira 4-6 1-6

Good tourney nevertheless.

Was supposed to play Washington qualies & $25K Landisville, but pulled out. Would've been a great chance to get some easy points.

Re: Risa Ozaki cheering thread!

Risa d. Gamiz 67(8) 64 63

In R2 will be very difficult against Pereira, who has struggled lately and in her R1 match. Winning a round here has already justified the trip, hope she plays like she has nothing to lose. Match will be streamed I'm sure!
