A ton of money would have to change hands for any of the big names to switch to Mercedes now. I think they'll pick someone like Wehrlein for a short deal and then hit the market when Vettel's or Verstappen's contracts expire.

LOL - everyone including Ecclestone want Alonso to be Roseberg's replacement (in hopes of re-igniting the fireworks between ALO and HAM when both were at McLaren)

Sounds like Mercedes would prefer a German, but better than Wehrlein. Somebody keep Hulkenberg away from any ropes.Really wish we´d get to seem him in a top car once.

interesting to see who will be the mercedes replacement, everyone will want that drive, like maybe even schumacher will recover and want it if someone tells him the news
Alonso should tear up his contract with McLaren and get in there.

hamilton also won the title when massa's engine blew up with a few laps to go in hungary and when renault deliberately crashed piquet so that alonso could win, massa was leading comfortably until they caused the chaos in the pits

lets also tally up rosberg's problems or bad luck this season, being taken out in the lead of the spain race, the team breaking the rules to tell him a solution over the radio, some penalties for just trying to run drivers wide which was normal up until now, being taken out in the first corner in malaysia and then driving conservatively in the last few races because he only needed 2nd places in races that he usually dominates hamilton

It was still in Lewis hands after Sepang. He lost it completely in Suzuka.
