Great week but a missed opportunity for her first title. She'll get to about #900 next Monday.
And to think the Romanian winner was taken in R1 to a 3rd set TB by unranked WC Lee Or (who haven't won as much as a 10K MD match in two years).

I don't know if Shir Perkis (daughter of former top-60 ATP player Shahar Perkis - wearing a yellow cap in the photo) counts as she seems to have quit two years ago at 17, but if she does she gets my vote:

(you might recognize the fella to her left - pic was taken after they won a local mixed tourney in 2010)

Nice Pictures

I guess I should have been more specific and referred to competitive tennis players, not merely anyone who has ever picked up a racket!

Re: Ekaterina Tour

That's great!
Also worth mentioning that on the way to the final she also beat for the first time in her career a top 500 player (Khazaniuk) and a top 400 player (Kirilova)

1R: Ekaterina TOUR (ISR) 6-4 4-6 7-6(3) Deniz KHAZANIUK (ISR) [7]
2R: Ekaterina TOUR (ISR) 6-4 6-3 Francesca STEPHENSON (GBR)
QF: Ekaterina TOUR (ISR) 6-0 6-4 Ksenia KIRILLOVA (RUS) [2]

Ekaterina Tour

Given her recent performance at Ashkelon(is now in the semi-finals) I think she deserves her own thread. Additionally, she has my vote as the best looking Israeli tennis player at the moment.
