Also shame Liv R lost after winning the first set in her match. A win could have done huge things for her confidence.

Territory Sam in Strasbourh QF and now highest seed after Vinci and Stephens both had early exits. Sam plays Garcia tonight.

Hope she can capitalise on another WTA mess draw.

Sam seemed to be treating it like a practice session. Should have been something like 62 61, so many weird errors and odd shot choices

Well she only has to beat Arina

Territory Good to see Jess at WTA level even if it is only dubs.

Actually, it's good to see *anyone* new popping up at WTA level. We are so lacking in players at that level atm

Re: Aussies in WTA events

Was lucky enough to watch the match live. Very entertaining and enjoyable match, and a lovely warm congratulation by Dasha to Sveta at the end.

Dasha played a terrific second set. She couldn't quite match that level in the third, but she fought for all she was worth and received a well-earned ovation from the crowd as she left the court

Dasha tried her best today, thought it would be smooth sailing for Kuzzie after the first set, but what a comeback second set. Couldn't keep it up in third but did try her best to stay in it as long as she could.
