As Radical said, it's not her but one of her lovely fans. They are obviously pissed that Laura didn't sing Maria's praises when the meldonium stuff came out...so that's why.

I didn't notice that. As for blue ticks, I don't use Twitter so am not familiar with its finer points.

That's Sharap0va with a zero, not the famous unintentional ingester of proscribed medications, who would surely have a blue tick.

On further reflection..yes these first round loses are disappointing but there are positives.

1. She won a tournament.

2. She played for a long stretch of time without injury and the wrist injury has not been further aggravated.

3. She's getting to know the younger Brit girls.

4. She's taking shit from nobody on twitter.

Hard to say at this point , we don't really know what's going on during those matches .

Re "mental coach" may be she is seeing one already...

Re: Return Winner: The Laura Robson support thread.

She posted an Instagram story about being back in the UK for the first time since July. So her 2016 season is officially done.

All we can do is hope for the best next season, wishing Laura all the best physically and mentally.

Lloy4dAustin Does she has a coach who is organise game plan with her or she just play freestyle at these itfs?

Re: Return Winner: The Laura Robson support thread.

Her late withdrawal clearly signals she's spent. Season is done. Probably for the best.

A shared coach is a cost effective solution if you are all travelling to the same tournaments as they've been doing. But it's true, you won't get the same level of attention. It doesn't seem likely she'll announce anyone new in the near future, not while she's at 50K level. But a psychologist would be wonderful.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, but I just can't emphasise it enough. I mean ideally, she would get a mental coach like Jo did, but any sort of high end coach rather than these stand ins from the LTA would be beneficial. I think she needs a fresh prospective and approach to the game. Clearly her current set up isn't working. She might have thought it was working when she won Landisville but that was probably more down to her.

Hopefully the time off will allow her to get her groove back.
"Late withdrawal main" or something equivalent. She gets a fine for withdrawing post deadline.

Lloy4dAustin She could possibly lost to anyone one, no matter :world 500, world 1000,amateurs, Highschool student, middle school student, 3.0 tennis lover at the moment imo. She need a real personal coach indeed, not someone from some random tennis program. She need someone could focus on her and help her rebuild her confidence ans her gamestyle.lets hope she just lose interesting in this season and tired. If she keeps losing in early round in 25k and 60k next season, i can see a retirement coming after Wimbledon...the last one who did the same partten is vaidisova?barely wins in itfs destroy her confidence
