Yes. Although she isn't communicating with the crowd at all, she will need them on her side in big matches.

Not saying she needs to directly interact, but if she shows tiny positive emotion it will lift them greatly.
Yeah agree, the Barthel match at AO was a good example of this... probably could have used the crowd more. I think she seem's a bit introverted though and her game is built more on calmness and fluidity, it's a tough one!

And it wasn't an obvious event either. Rachel McQuillan, Anne Minter and Kristin Godridge in Moscow in 1990.

AAAANNNDDD... oh my god. We have three players in a WTA QF!

When the hell was the last time that happened? I actually can't recall it EVER happening. (But I'm sure it must have).

Sam v CSN will be interesting. And Dasha v Ash!

And here's a potential feat... If Ash wins dubs title and somehow wins singles title too, she'll have done a qualifier double double in one season... two singles/doubles title doubles with both singles wins coming as a qualifier. THAT would surely be a first Come on Ash!

Ash and Dash's matches should be on tv on foxtel tonight (and at a reasonable hour)

I feel quite good atm.

Coupla girls fighting for the #1 ranking
Ash on the up
Coupla teens in the top 200

It will probably all come crashing down soon enough tho...

Adamczak and Sanders have randomly popped up in the Strasbourg doubles draw

Moore and Wongteanchi are also playing.

Big Aussie contingent here as Barty/Dellacqua and Nastya Rodi in the draw too!

Move over sam She's held up aussie woman's tennis for so long, very impressive, but she's going to lose her highest ranked aussie woman title sooner rather than later. Probably tomorrow.

Wow, Dasha. Kuzzy has given her a couple spankings recently.
