Re: Yung-Jan Latisha Chan + Hao-Ching Chan.

Same old story. Big lead and still lose. This time had 2 MPs for SF.

They were ups MPs 62 52* and ended up 62 57 36 to the Czech team. But well, QF is good for me already. They're luck to have a good draw and I'm satisfied. Hao-Ching still need to improve her groundstrokes to be actually slam SF level player.

YJC/Bopanna def. Hlavackova/Kubot 4-6, 6-4, [10-6].
Into the quarters against Klepac/Huey next. Winnable I think.

What's positive was at least you saw patches of brilliance of those signature gusty and fiery plays. They'll now have to find a way to connect those good shots. I believe they will as they usually do play better against stronger teams.

They are lucky they weren't playing a more accomplished pair today.
SW has been playing extremely well this tournament. It is a shame she doesn't have a better relationship with the Chan's.

(And they will probably be both in the top 10 after AO.)

Yeah but honestly who would have expected!

Made me think again if YJ and Hsieh get along....they will be a nightmare for other countries in the Olympics.

Re: Yung-Jan Latisha Chan + Hao-Ching Chan.

They were not playing their best tennis especially Hao-Ching.....she's always been not so confident on her ground game, but she was so bad today and you could see the insecurity on her face.

But the match was on their rackets all way.

They will definitely have to tame those wild errors facing the Czechs.

They won in straight sets. It wasn't always pretty but they're definitely going to need to play better or Hlavackova/Hradecka are going to route them.
