Updated with Caroline Garcia s win in Wuhan (only the 5th French to win that kind of big tournament after Mauresmo, Pierce, Tauziat and Rezai). Congrats!

116th title and the first one for Kristina Mladenovic! (26th to win a least one tournament).

Re: Titles for French girls in the open era

115th win after Océane Dodin s maiden title in Québec City (3rd French after Nathalie Tauziat, who won the inaugural event and 10 years after Marion Bartoli).

Océane is only the 25th French girl to win a title in the Open Era!

Already 4 titles in 2016 after an inglorious zero in 2015. Well done!

Re: Titles for French girls in the open era

After a year 2015 without title despite 3 finals (the first time since 1988...) Alizé Cornet 5th title in Hobart is the first for French players in 2016 and the 112th overall
