Re: Caroline Garcia

Great to see her coming back from a set down, and from a break down in the decider, especially under the circumstances.

Re: Caroline Garcia

TBH, i don't doubt her fighting ability. She usually does try, and here it got it's reward.

Well done Caro for getting through this match whilst being almost out, and also for dealing with her recent situations.

Siniakova next. I like Caro's chances but i am never sure

Re: Caroline Garcia

very far from her best BUT she fought and that's positive, that's how she can get back to the top by accepting the fight,

we saw Caroline having the best results this year not playing her best BUT being humble and fighting on every point

not thinking about the score, the opponent or the conditions, just play the game. That's how the best players behave.

Then confidence grows and she can relax and play better and better. It all about being humble and patient.

She will need it wether it will be siniakova or bouchard, two players she lost to

I only saw the last couple of games - very positive, convincing stuff. I like that.

Caroline def. Parmentier 46 63 64

She was down *2-4 in the third set. Great fight, Caro !!

Re: Caroline Garcia

Caroline won!!! OMG it was so difficult at the beggining. BUT she is better than Pauline even not at 100%. I am very happy with her battle today, it was difficult but she kept fighting again and again, and she won !!

Re: Caroline Garcia

Idiotic decision, deliberately made public at a very awkward time for the players involved. I guess the FFT bigwigs and their bruised egos had to "make them pay" and show them who's the boss.

As Caroline and her team pointed out in their communiqué, the language used by the FFT was completely over the top, considering her rather measured statement - accusing her of having "besmirched the federation" ("bafoué l'institution fédérale") and "damaged tennis's image" ("abîmé l'image du tennis") is ridiculous.

Re: Caroline Garcia

FFT why not solve this together with the professional tennis players, instead of going in public. Perhaps FFT does not realise but without these players the current French ladies tennis is nil zero nada nothing

Legend

He certainly never fails to deliver.

He seemed pretty relaxed yesterday immediately after the match when he was about to be interviewed on court.

The FFT are making themselves look like a bunch of small-minded philistines.

Poor Caro, this whole mess will surely affect her negatively.

I think she only wanted to be supportive of her teammate and doubles partner, but even punishing Kiki this way was completely over the top.

What did Paire exactly do, except being the crazy guy that he has always been?

The whole action appears to be very dodgy.

Allez, Caro! Don’t let yourself get distracted by a bunch of fools !!
Yeah she hardly said anything. It was harsh on Kiki, but you can see why in a sense. Suspending Caro makes 0 sense

But Caro does care and it will affect her. Just how she will translate it on to court is the question .

Jow No she really thinks FFT are incompetents and said that if they believed nothing would go out they are completely wrong. But she does not speak like Kiki.

Re: Caroline Garcia

If Caro goes deep here that would be a big middle finger to the FFT and i would love it

Not sure that her mind is in the right place for a big run though, but we will see
Aug 30th, 2016 08:46 AM
Jow I don't know why but i see her go far here. To let know FFT who she is
But i am probably wrong here

Re: Caroline Garcia

Yeah that would pretty much seal their fate in the final. They are possibly the underdogs anyway, without Caro and Kiki they would be even more so.

If they want to win they need her, so it will be lifted. It is just annoying that they announced this right before a Grand Slam

How does everyone see Caro's tournament going?
